The Health Protection Agency primarily covers England, although for queries on radiation the HPA covers the whole of the UK, and for chemicals the HPA covers England and Wales.
For urgent enquiries about radiation, chemicals, infectious diseases and poisons, specialist advice can be obtained from the public health emergency contact page, which also has advice about who to contact at the Emergency Preparedness and Response Division in the event of an emergency where accidental or deliberate release or exposure is suspected.
