Transparency
Government has set out the need for greater transparency across its operations to enable the public to hold public bodies and politicians to account. This includes commitments relating to public expenditure, intended to help achieve better value for money.
In this area of the website, the Health Protection Agency will publish reports detailing all financial transactions spending over £25,000, GPC spending over £500, and graphical organograms and grading and pay information about staff. The definitions used in producing this information and the format of the presentation are in line with Cabinet Office guidance to ensure consistency of presentation across all public sector organisations that are publishing similar information.
