The Health Protection Agency and Department of Health held a Webcast for stakeholders to learn more about the plans for the redevelopment of the HCAI Data Capture System (DCS) on Thursday 28th June.

A webcast was held on 28 June to establish early engagement with stakeholders leading up to delivery of the new HCAI DCS.
The itinerary for the webcast was as follows:
10.30: The meeting facility went live, and users were able to enter the holding room until the meeting started.
11.00: Introduction. Dr. Christine McCartney, Executive Director, HPA Microbiology Services (Chair)
11.05: Government / DH perspective. Claire Boville, Head of Policy, HCAI Infectious Diseases and Blood Policy, Department of Health
11.20: Medical & Scientific perspective: Prof. Peter Wilson, Consultant Microbiologist, UCLH NHS Foundation Trust
11.40: System Design & Development: Tom Adams, Solution Architect (Logica), Mike Shemko, IT Consultant (HPA)
