The profiles aim to support the work of health service areasin monitoring the health of their population and the performance of local health systems.
The profiles have been developed by the HIV and STI Department (HPA Centre for Infections) and include measures published in the 2008 review of the Sexual Health Strategy commissioned by the Independent Advisory Group on Sexual Health and HIV.
The range of profiles is being extended as further data sources including the genitourinary medicine clinic activity dataset (GUMCAD) become available.
